The Women and Infants' Health Services at Parkland Health Center-Farmington offers a full maternity department with state-of-the-art birthing suites focused on family-centered care. Visiting hours are open, and sibling visitation is encouraged.  The three Ob/Gyn physicians are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Three nurse practitioners assist the physicians in providing prenatal care and general women's services.Childbirth classes are available to all moms-to-be in the seventh month of pregnancy, and sibling classes are tailored by age. Breastfeeding classes with a breastfeeding consultant are available before the mother delivers or after as needed.
